Health and safety tips to make your 2020 visit safe and FUN

We are so excited to welcome you and your family back to Story Land!

Please note: Story Land will operate 5 days per week in 2020. The park will be open 9:30 - 5:00pm Friday - Tuesday. Please view our Calendar for a full list of operating dates, and our Daily Operations page for available attractions updates.

We want you to know the health and safety of our Guests and Team Members is our top priority. We are fully committed to creating the cleanest and safest environment possible for your visit.

The way we will operate this summer is significantly different from what we are all used to as we adapt to the new landscape created by COVID-19. Please, read this page fully to ensure the best experience possible as you plan your visit and join us at the Land Where Fantasy Lives.

Planning a Visit

In order to comply with key health and safety measures surrounding limiting capacity, social distancing, and touch-free payment, planning a visit to Story Land will look different this summer.

  • Guests will need to register for the date they wish to visit in advance, in addition to their regularly purchased ticket or Season Pass. Tickets purchased after 6/23/2020 do not need to make a separate reservation - your dated ticket is your reservation.
  • The RSVP system is now available. Learn More
  • If the date you wish to visit is not listed in our online calendar, we have already reached our capacity limit for that date, and you will need to choose another day.
  • All those wishing to enter Story Land (Guests, Team Members, Suppliers, and Contracted Partners) will have their temperatures scanned before entering the park. They will also be asked the screening questions provided by the State of NH, which can be found here.
  • Any person with a temperature of 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, or displaying other symptoms of COVID-19, will be denied entry.
  • Facial coverings are required for all entrants, except children under three.
  • Some rides and attractions will not be available this summer due to the pandemic. Please visit our Daily Operations page for planned closures. This page will be updated as frequently as possible.

While we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the park, there are some people who should forego a visit to Story Land this year under the current precautions. Among those who should avoid visiting in 2020: anyone with illness, COVID-19 symptoms, those who are at high-risk, those unable or unwilling to practice social distancing, or to wear face coverings to protect others, and those who may expect a visit to the park this year to be just like any other in the past.

Yes, all Guests and Team Members are required to wear facial coverings while at Story Land. The only exception is for children under age three.

Guests are required to remove facial coverings while on water attractions (Bamboo Chutes, Splash Battle and Dr. Geyser's Remarkable Raft Ride), in complying with water safety best practices. We recommend bringing a plastic bag that can be sealed to store your facial covering in if you plan to enjoy these attractions. Guests may also remove their masks while eating or drinking. Face shields are not permitted on any attraction and are not a substitute for a facial covering. Face shields are permitted within the park when worn with a cloth facial covering.

Play areas (Grandfather Tree, Buccaneer Bay Playground, Loopy Lab, Little Dreamers), the Silver Mine, and all photo cut outs will be closed. Swan Boats will be closed for all of 2020. More specific information on ride, retail and food location dates of operation will be made available as the park gets closer to opening.
