May 23rd, 2016 – Glen, NH — Story Land opens Saturday, May 28th for its 62nd season! Opening day will be the kickoff to another fun filled summer season at Story Land with more events and activities than ever before. With 23 thrilling rides, shows and interactive play areas, Story Land offers more than a day’s worth of fun family memories.
The 2016 season welcomes many traditional special events and a variety of new and exciting happenings as well. A much anticipated character lineup is back for all to enjoy as Story Land partners with Believe in Books Literacy Foundation for the 7th year! Story Land will host a book drive on June 11th in conjunction with Character Kickoff Day to help support local literacy initiatives. Autism Speaks and Story Land join for their 5th year of fundraising and bring the first ever Autism Awareness Walk to the Mount Washington Valley. Participants will show support for the Autism community through a morning walk around Story Land where they will conclude their walk and enjoy a day at the park.
Lastly, Story Land would like to thank all the men and women who sacrifice so much to keep this country safe. Eric, Story Land General Manager commented “Story Land has been involved with Christmas Can Cure since its inception, the Hero Appreciation Days are a perfect segue for us to show our support for the service members and their families.” This year, members of the military, police, fire, rescue and retired veterans will receive free admission to Story Land on September 11, 18, 25 and Oct 2nd! Discounted admission of $19.99 will be offered for all spouses and children 17 and under.
