Open 9:30 - 6 pm. Our shoulder season is upon us and certain rides, attractions and food areas may be closed going forward; late August and fall weekends are great times to visit Story Land; smaller crowds, shorter ride lines and crisp colorful days...enjoy! Los Bravos Burgers will be closed for the duration of the 2017 season.

The Scavenger Hunt to Grant A Fairytale!

Event Date: September 23rd, 2017
Time:9:30 am – 3 pm
Price:$10 Donation per Scavenger Hunt Card ** admission not included

Story Land and One Mission are partnering to create a fairytale weekend for kids fighting cancer and their families and we need your help!

On Saturday, September 23rd, Story Land and One Mission will be hosting: A Scavenger Hunt to Grant A Fairytale

This event is open to everyone! Once you enter the park head on over to the One Mission: The Scavenger Hunt to Grant A Fairytale table, for a $10 donation you will receive a scavenger hunt card. This card will be filled with fun activities, everything from taking a selfie with Tinkerbell to uncovering a fossil at Dig-M Deeper Play Area. Once you've completed The Scavenger Hunt, turn your card into the closest One Mission table for a chance to win awesome prizes!

Money raised at The Scavenger Hunt to Grant a Fairytale will provide a weekend getaway to the Mount Washington Valley for up to ten families currently fighting pediatric cancer. Many families know how great it is to spend a day with one another at the Park, now you have the chance to provide that same opportunity to a family who otherwise would not be able to!

The Inspiration Behind the Scavenger Hunt to Grant a Fairytale:
In the summer of 2015, a chance encounter changed the lives of then 4-year-old Belle Swersey and her family. Through a series of unlikely events, they had an experience at Story Land and in the Mount Washington Valley that changed their family forever – that helped them get through Belle’s pediatric cancer treatment in a way nothing else could. For a brief window of time, they got to live in a magic world of princesses and storybook characters, escape into nature, and forget about treatment and cancer. Belle was simply a little girl; her sister Sadie was her loving sidekick.. It was a weekend Belle and her family will never forget.

About One Mission:

One Mission is a pediatric cancer charity that does whatever it takes to get kids through cancer treatment. One Mission programs make living in the hospital less lonely and stressful, bring back joy in a time of fear and uncertainty, and give kids and their loved ones the support they need to get through the emotional and financial challenges of treatment.

October 7
Pumpkin Carving Demonstration

Date: October 7th, 2017
Location: Believe in Books Theater
Time: 10 am – 1 pm

Join us while we watch William bring pumpkins to life! He will be carving at the front of the park under the Believe in Books Theatre from 10 am – 1 pm on Saturday, October 7th.

William is a self-taught subtractive sculptor who works primarily in wood and has been carving for more than thirty-seven years. But, during September and October his tools delve into a fun, though temporary medium…..PUMPKINS! The goal of each sculpted pumpkin is to show unique expression. It be a comical – scary character or someone perhaps, recognizable. “The joy in carving pumpkins is that I can finish a piece in a shorter amount of time” says William. This allows the viewer to see the techniques used in subtractive sculpture. Also, this can be a bit of performance art with interaction with an audience that other forms of sculpture cannot give. Winning more than a hundred ribbons, awards, and prize money, his wood and stone sculptures are collected worldwide. William has been featured on television- Doug Rafferty's "Doug's Discoveries", Lake Living Magazine, newspaper features and Steve Minich, WMTW – Made in Maine. Learn more about William Janelle at
