Glen, NH - Story Land Theme Park, one of Palace Entertainment's Family of Nationwide Parks located in Glen, NH, and Autism Speaks are pleased to announce the beginning of a partnership to raise the awareness of families dealing with Autism. Some plans for year one are: to work closely with the non-profit Autism Speaks, to train employees on how to recognize, understand, and act compassionately when assisting families dealing with Autism at the park. Story Land cast members recently attended an Autism Boot Camp led by an Autism Speaks representative along with two Moms of Autistic children. "The program was very emotional and enlightening to say the least," said Eric Dziedzic Story Land's General Manager.
Kate O’Neill of Autism speaks says "We are so excited about our new partnership! Our whole team is charged and pumped at the possibility this partnership creates!"
Story Land's General Manager Eric Dziedzic also commented that "Palace Entertainment has fostered strong relationships with leaders in the Autism Community, and we have seen what a positive difference this commitment has made to the families who visit. We are proud to have the opportunity to help raise awareness in the area; the number of families dealing with Autism is staggering." Story Land will be a sponsor of the Autism Speaks walk in Manchester NH on September 22rd. Both groups are very excited about Autism Awareness Weekend at Story Land September 7 & 8.
